En la Exposición Internacional de Girona se celebró la final de los campeones de Cataluña. Nuestra Salma, Karakush Hot Tamale fue juzgada por el juez irlandés John Walsh y obtuvo un excelente BIS-3. Estamos muy contentos de este podium!!

El día 7 de Junio se celebró en el recinto ferial de El Sucre la XIV exposición nacional de Vic. Este año, y a pesar de la masificación del recinto, el ambiente era muy agradable debido al aire acondicionado, incluso pasamos un poco de frío!
El grupo 10 fue juzgado por la única jueza extranjera invitada, la portuguesa Gabriela Veiga, Klingsor, Ch. Qirmizi Hidalgo, se movió realmente bien y obtuvo el CAC y Mejor de Raza.

Las finales fueron juzgadas por la misma jueza y Klingsor subió al podium con un BIG-3. Agradecemos a la sra. Gabriela Veiga este fantástico BIG-3.

En la Exposición Internacional de Girona, Klingsor (Ch. Qirmizi Hidalgo) se presentó por primera vez en clase campeones y gano el CAC-CACIB y MR, la jueza fue Carmen Gil Polo.
In the International Show in Girona, Klingsor (Ch. Qirmizi Hidalgo) was shown in Champion Class and won CAC-CACIB and BOB under judge Carmen Gil Polo.
El pasado 25 de enero estuvimos en la exposición nacional de Valls. La primera exposición del año en España. Juzgaba el juez portugués Zeferino Silva.
Pasamos un día muy agradable rodeados de amigos, Miki y Sonia con Tango y Jive, Mario y Luis con Agneta y Asha, Estela con Zoe, Pilar y Carlos con Magnus y Ester con Sam.
Los resultados fueron fantásticos:
Salma (Karakush Hot Tamale) gano el CAC y BOB y Klingsor (Qirmizi Hidalgo) también.
En la final de grupo y por primera vez, Eyes Gazing estuvo al completo en el podium, Klingsor quedó BIG-2 y salma BIG.

Eyes Gazing afganos y salukis os desea una Feliz Navidad y un Próspero Año 2009, esperamos que este nuevo año sea, al menos, igual de bueno que este que se va y ya por pedir un poco mejor, no creeis?.

Nos han pedido si podiamos distribuir algunas copias en España del Scandinavian Sighthounds, The Journal 2008 y tenemos algunas disponibles para aquellos que esteis interesados.
La revista, que casi parece un libro, es anual (sale en Julio), está dedicada por entero a los lebreles y cada año se hace un especial de una raza y este año le ha tocado al afgano (el año que viene al Borzoi).

We’ve been asked to spread some Scandinavian Sighthounds, The Journal 2008 mainly in Spain, and we have some of them available for those interested.
The journal, is anually edited (in July) and is entirely devoted to sighthounds. Every years a breed has a special spot on the Journal and this year the special breed is the Afghan hound (next year the Borzoi).

A principios de julio nuestro kennel viajó a Suecia para participar en el World Dog Show, la mayor exposición canina del año. Este año se celebraba en Estocolmo y se presentaron mas de 34000 perros. En nuestras razas habia inscritos unos 250 perros, una cifra impresionante. Había perros venidos de todos los rincones del mundo pero lo que abundaba era sobretodo la cría nórdica de muy muy alta calidad. Viajamos con Klingsor y Salma.
El viaje fue bien, 3 horas de avión, aunque yo pasé muchos nervios al dejar a Klingsor en la bodega. Lo único negativo es que me perdieron una de las ruedas del transportín y fue un engorro tener que llevarlo así el resto del viaje.
La exposición abrió las puertas a las 7 de la mañana y las colas para la inspección veterinaria eran ya interminables. A las 8 ya estabamos en el recinto esperando que empezaran los juicios. Klingsor participaba en clase abierta y en clase grupo de cría. Salma participaba en clase intermedia.
La competencia era muy fuerte pero Klingsor se comportó muy bien en ring y el juez Norman Huidobro le dio un excelente 3º, viniendo luego a felicitarme por la calidad y elegancia del perro.
Salma fue juzgada por Espen Engh y obtuvo un meritorio excelente 3º.
Más tarde participamos junto a Nicklas Eriksson, Ingunn Solberg Eriksson y otra amiga en la clase grupo de cría quedando en segundo lugar, el juez fue Bo Bengston.
Los ganadores en la raza saluki fueron:
- Mejor hembra (CACIB) y mejor de raza: Amiyat Ants in the Pants.
- Mejor macho (CACIB): Amiyat Anakin.
- Ganador CAC hembra: Qirmizi Hadiye al Feisal (hermana de Klingsor).
- Ganador CAC macho: Aziz Uzziah.
- Mejor joven hembra: Gathibiyya Djaal Lhilal.
- Mejor joven macho: Feisal’s Fadil Fariq Ibn Salar.
- Mejor grupo de cría: Badavie (BIS en grupos de cría).
Los ganadores en la raza afganos fueron:
- Mejor hembra (CACIB), mejor de raza y mejor de grupo: Agha Djari’s Reflection of Xenos.
- Mejor macho (CACIB): Xciting Xtravagant Creation.
- Ganador CAC hembra: Agha Djari’s who’s that girl.
- Ganador CAC macho: Agha Djari’s Wait Til You See Me.
- Mejor joven hembra: Agha Djari’s who’s that girl.
- Mejor joven macho: Agha Djari’s Wait Til You See Me.
- Mejor grupo de cría: Polo’s.
En grupo de cría participaban los siguientes perros: Qirmizi Hadiye Al Feisal, Qirmizi Famenne, Qirmizi Hidalgo, Qirmizi Hermione (these are the dogs in breeder’s group).

In July our kennel traveled to Sweden in order to participate in the World Dog Show, the greater dog show of the year. This year was in Stockholm, and more than 34000 dogs were entered. There were about 250 afghan hounds and salukis, an impressive number. There were dogs arrived from all the corners of the world. We travelled with Klingsor and Salma, Klingsor was entered in open class and Salma in intermediate class.
The competition was strong but Klingsor did it very well and the judge, Norman Huidobro gave him an Exc. 3º congratulating me by the quality of the dog.
Salma was judged by Espen Engh and was Exc. 3º.
Later, we were in breeders class with Nicklas Eriksson, Ingunn Solberg Eriksson and a friend and we finished second, the judge was Bo Bengtson.

Os presento a Lara, Vaaliya-Bali Shans-an-Nahar, una afgana nacida en Alemania el 23 de febrero del año 2001 en el Kennel Shams-an-Nahar. Es una afgana black and cream con una preciosa cabeza y buen carácter, aunque prefiere estar en casa durmiendo o dando una vuelta en el jardín que en el ring.
Lara es hija de la campeona de Alemania Ghuwayhati Shams-an-Nahar y del multicampeón australiano Gengala Justification, un macho excepcional conocido en todo el mundo.
I want to introduce you Lara, Vaaliya-Bali Shans-an-Nahar, an afghan female born in Germany february 23 2001 in Shams-an-Nahar Kennel. She is a black and tan female with a really beautiful head and excellent carachter, but she prefers to lay in home sleeping than in a ring.
Lara is daughter of the German Champion Ghuwayhati Shams-an-Nahar and the Australian multichampion Gengala Justification, a wellknown male in all the world.
